AFRICAN SOCIALISM
SOCIALISM; refers to economic and political theory of social organization meaning production , distribution and exchange owned and regulated by the community as a whole
African socialism was a term used by the late JomoKenyatta and the late Joseph mboya to describe the philosophy that kenya would adopt to achieve economic and political development
African socialism was adopted in 1965 when the late Jomokenyatta and Joseph Mboya came up with the sessional paper no.10of 1965.
African socialism was based on the following values

(a)Attraction of foreign business in the country and providing free environment for them to business
(b)Provision of a free and enabling environment in the country for kenyans to conduct business

The government being involve in doing business in order to provide essential services by setting up parastatals for example Kenya ports authority
