1.Adverbs of place describes where something happens. In the sentence...

 i) The robbers collected all the wealth and fled from there.

 The word "there" is the adverb of place 

ii). They dug a hole under a tree and hid all the wealth.

     Under a tree describe where the hole was dug.

     The word under is an adverb of place.

2. Adverbs of place are usually placed after a main verb e.g

 

i).The toys are on the floor.

 

 "are" is the main verb in

          this sentence

 

"on" is an adverb of place

       showing where the toys

         are.

3. Adverbs of place are also placed after an object e.g

i). There is a beautiful

       Sunset over there

 

"Sunset" is the object

 

"Over there" is the adverb  

                       of place

                       Where the

                       sun is. 

4. Adverbs of place also modify verbs e.g

i). Slowly the child  crawled down

"slowly" modifies the verb

  "crawled"

 "Down" is the adverb of place showing where the child crawled to.
