Can you tell what is happening during the formation of rill erosion?

1. Rill erosion is caused by flowing water.
2. As the water flows, it carries away fertile soil leaving behind small channels called rills.
3. A rill is a shallow channel in soil created by erosion of flowing water.

What has happened to this soil?

 

The topsoil has been carried away by channels of water leaving behind the rills.
