Capacity is the ability to hold/contain something
Which one can hold more water, the Bucket or the glass ?
Of course the bucket.
The bucket has a larger holding space than the glass hence greater capacity
Conversion of millitres (ml) to decilitres (dl)
1 ml = 0.01 dl
i.e. the dl is 100 times greater than a ml
To convert ml into dl take
1/100 x quantities of ml
Eg;
1/100 x 600ml = 6 dl
Small
200ml=2dl
Large sachet
½ L =500ml = 5 dl
The above images show
1 L = 10 dl
i.e. the L is 10 times greater than a dl
To convert L into dl take
Quantities of L x 10 = dl
To convert dl into L take
Quantities of dl ÷10 = L
Eg;
10 x 3 L = 30 dl
Therefore 1 L = 10dl
a small packet of milk 2 dl and the big packet 5 dl
Conversion of decilitres (dl) to litres (l)
Capacity is measured in litres
1000ml = 1 l
100 ml = 1 dl
10dl = 1 L
695 ml + 846 ml = 1521 ml
Out of this total in ml we obtain
1521 ml - 1000ml = 1 L
- 500ml = 5 dl
- 21 ml = 21mlAddition in capacity
