Present continuous tense describes things that are happening now and in the future.
It is used when we are interested in the activity that is going on, other than the person or people doing it.
Someone calling at an office to collect a letter might be told:_
Just wait a moment "your letter is being typed"
It is taken for granted that a typist or a Secretary is doing this.
So there is no need of mentioning the Secretary or typist
The emphasis should be on the letter.
