Look at the following sentence.
Deborah found Mary walking along the road.
Mary was offered a lift.
In the sentence; Deborah offered Mary a lift. Can you identify the subject and the indirect object in the sentence?
Answer
We can still change and use the indirect object as the subject in the passive.
For example
In this case ,we are more interested in what was done to Mary rather than the doer of the action who is Deborah.
