Exodus 20:1 -17, Matthew 22:36-40

God gave Moses the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai. They include:

1. Worship no god but me.
2. Make no images and do not bow down to any idol.
3. Do not use the name of God for evil purposes.
4. Observe the Sabbath and keep it holy.
5. Respect your father and mother that your days may be added.
6. Do not commit murder.
7. Do not commit adultery.
8. Do not steal.
9. Do not accuse anyone falsely.
10. Do not envy/covet other people’s property.

• Jesus summarised these commandments into the Greatest Commandment: love. He said that the entire Bible is built upon these two commandments:

1. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind.

2. You shall love your neighbour as you love yourself.
